For sand mining a proper wear resistant sand dredging pump is a requirement: in this cutter suction dredger type CSD450 a heavy duty dredge pump is installed.
This dredger mines sand in a river at a maximum dredging depth of 14m; it pumps aggregates from the river bed ashore. The dredge is operated by 1 man only: the dredge master. He has a full view of the fore deck and the surrounding job site for optimal safe working conditions.
The stationary dredger delivers a high production and works 20 hrs/day. The dredger is kept in good conditioned by the well-trained crew.
