HID Dredger successfully solved the problem of low reservoir capacity of the horizontal flow sedimentation tank of the Yellow River water source
There are 4 horizontal sedimentation tanks in operation in the Yellow River water source area of Baotou Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., which need to be dredged before the arrival of the freezing period every year to increase the reservoir capacity to ensure stable water supply throughout the winter. Prior to this operation, the electric mechanical cutter suction dredger put into use in the 1990s was used.
Since 2000, the problem that the sediment and sundries at the bottom of the pool can not be completely cleaned for a long time has become increasingly prominent due to the decline of obsolete equipment power. In addition, the Yellow River has been flooded for many times since 2017, and the problem is aggravated by the flood with high sediment concentration, which is followed by the annual reduction of the capacity of the advection sedimentation tank. In April this year, the Power Supply Plant introduced three full hydraulic electric cutter suction dredgers with higher efficiency, lower failure rate and simpler operation from HID Dredging Equipment Company.
According to the specific conditions of the sedimentation tank and the detailed requirements for equipment, our company has strictly enforced the dredging design and production process, clarified the operation scheme of the dredger, optimized the excavation index, increased monitoring equipment, promoted the refinement and standardization of operation, and improved the efficiency of the dredger. The sediment and sundries deposited in the horizontal sedimentation tank for many years have been thoroughly cleaned.
It is estimated that after the operation, the pool depth will increase by 0.3m on average and the total storage capacity will increase by nearly 30,000 m3.
The problems that have puzzled the Yellow River water source area of Baotou Steel for more than 20 years have been effectively solved.
