HID Delivered a set of Dredge Booster Pump Stations to Nurai Construction Company in the UAE
HID, has recently successfully dispatched a set of Dredge Booster Pump Stations to our esteemed client, Nurai Construction Company, based in the United Arab Emirates. This delivery also included a supply of 1,500 pipes and accessories.
Booster stations contain pumps that give a ‘boost’ to the dredger’s pumps making it possible to transport dredged material over longer distances.
It is widely used with trailing suction hopper dredgers and cutter suction dredgers. Sometimes multiple pumps are used along the discharge pipeline, providing additional power to the discharge pumping system of these dredgers. The dredger and booster stations together can then reach long distances.
Boosters may be based on land or on a floating platform and may be almost as powerful as the dredger they are supplementing.
Occasionally, they are placed on the deck of a vessel but usually, they are attached to the floating pipeline along its way from ship to shore.
HID booster pump stations are designed and built as self-contained, skid-mounted units for use with any dredge. We offer standard dredge booster pump units for sale from 10” through 24” pump sizes with customized designs as diesel-powered, or electric-powered custom units.
The booster pump stations can be designed as container-sized units to ensure practical transport and rapid mobilization on-site.
